Lessons Learned from Rock and Roll

Welcome to The Engine Room

The Engine Room has been a work in progress for over 30 years. I am Tony Michaelides and I am a “retired” record plugger from the UK. I worked with artists such as U2 David Bowie and Matchbox 20. The Engine Room is the singular place where the music meets the fans and where ordinary people are made into rock stars. I’ll share with you stories about the bands, the talent and the lessons learned in business and in life from this convoluted and crazy world of rock and roll.

  1. Hello Tony the Greek!!
Long time no see, me ol’ mucker. I remember you being one of the first people to give me a break, on your radio show on Key 103, all those years ago. You have a lot to answer for!! :-)

Hi Tony. I was just listening to 6 Music, heard the Chameleons and it took me back to being a teenager and hearing your programme on Piccadilly for the first time and instantly knowing that Indie was for me. As far as I was aware you were the only guy on the radio playing that music and I loved it. The stuff you played defined my tastes for the last 25 years or so. Thanks for that mate.
